Photograph number: Buildings 151

Date unknown

Rear of Common Road

This land is where the two houses that make up the Orchard are now built. At one time, this land would have belonged to Bob Butterwood who also owned the shop on Common Road at the same time (circa 1940s). The houses at the back are probably Park Avenue. At the time this photograph was taken, the shop (see photograph buildings 152) and land belonged to Mr and Mrs Hudson whose daughter Debbie (later Greenwell and Brierley post mistress) provided this photograph.
