Cross slab grave cover

This decorated slab was carved possibly during the reign of King Henry the Third (1216-1272) and was obviously for someone of high rank as it was beautifully carved with a “Cross Pate with scalloped shaft. Double volute at the base and fluted top edge.”

The Cross slab can be seen on the right hand side looking at the photograph
