St Paul’s C of E School May Queen

Mr and Mrs Balmforth (Headmaster) crown the May Queen, but who is she? Bottom left is Ann Stirland with Christine Lomas next to her. Do you know the names of the other two girls? If so please email Gary

Mr Balmforth retired at Easter 1968 and a former pupil and Brierley resident Edwin Hambleton took his place as head of the school. Edwin himself has now retired and lives in South Hiendley. (March 2005)

Photograph placed on the web site at the request of Rosie Stewart from Bradford whose mum is Mr Balmforth's niece
