Bessie Woodward corner shop

At this time, Bessie worked for Mr and Mrs Alan Greenwell. Other known proprietors have been, Crossland’s, Woodward’s, Karen’s and Netty’s. When the Crosslands tenanted the property, the upstairs room at one time was used as meeting place for the Spiritualists before their Church was built on Church Street.
