Saturday 28th April 1978

Crowning of the Girls Brigade Queen Back row left to right: Cheryl McGrath, Pauline Shaw, Cheryl Shaw, Jacqueline Shaw, Jane Sissons (retiring Queen), Michelle Fearns (new Queen). The three smaller girls at the front of the dray looking from left to right are Fay Arnold, Julie Crossland (with cushion) and Sian Johnson. The three girls in uniform from the left are Kerry Mc Kernon, Janet Vamplew and Linda Vamplew. The Brigade leader Ella Deighton is bottom left. This was the 22nd year of the First Brierley G.B. Company
