Crowning of the Hospital Sing  Queen

 

The procession took place in Burton’s field (opposite the old Coop and next to the Methodist Church). Mrs Dymond from Burntwood Hall performed the crowning of the Queen. Back of the dray left to right: Hilda Hughes, Mabel Earl, Doris Ince, Brenda Riley, Norma Burden, Denise Blackshaw and Teresa Richards.

Thanks to John Draper who spotted his sister Mary on the dray and also to Brenda Jones (nee Earl) for the rest of the names
