The procession took place in Burton’s field (opposite the old Coop and next to the Methodist Church). Left to right: Brenda Riley, Mabel Earl, Denise Blackshaw (later Dixon), Doris Ince, Dorothy Earl, Margaret Draper (later Watson) and Hilda Hughes (later Wilson).
