Line Dancing

Line dancing will take place in the Methodist Church hall on Friday at 6.30pm till 9pm starting on 29 January.

 

Brierley Cubs FC

The under twelve’s will play Altofts at home on Sunday kicking off at 11am

 

Women’s Fellowship

The next women’s fellowship meeting that will take place in the Methodist Church Hall will be on Monday at 2pm.

 

Boys Brigade

Both the Junior Boys and Company Section meetings will take place in the Methodist Church Hall. The 7 to 11 year olds meeting will take place from 6.30pm till 8pm and the older boys will meet from 7pm till 9. Edwin and Elizabeth Hambleton will lead the boys.

 

Methodist Church

The children’s Jam club will be at 10.30am on Sunday morning and the service at 10.15am will will be taken byMrs E Haigh.. The welcoming steward will be Pearl and Ida will provide this weeks flowers. There is a karate club on Thursday at 7pm. A Bible study will take place in the medical centre on Church Drive on Thursday at 7pm. Bookings are now being taken for the Church Family fellowship weekend at Cloughton on 12 March.

 

Village club

There is a quiz night every Monday starting at 9pm.The winner last week was Volvo Phil.

 

Spiritualist Church

There will be Healing in the church by two approved lady healers tonight from 6 till 6.45pm followed at 7pm with an open circle.  There will be a demonstration of mediumship on Sunday from 6pm till 7.15pm and it will be taken by Linda Shepherd from Rotherham. The last demonstrator for January will be Diane Gardner from Brierley.

 

Weight Watchers

A weight watchers class will begin on Monday at 6.30pm in the Methodist Church Hall. For further details telephone Michelle on 07887 906493.

 

Three Horse Shoes

There is a quiz night at the Three Horse Shoes on a Thursday at 9.30pm and on Sunday at 8pm there is a music, conundrum and general knowledge quiz. On Sunday the bar staff won the quiz and the Dead Heads came second. Jo and Andy won the conundrum. The head to head was not won and will be for £75 next week. On Thursday the Dead Heads won the quiz and the nearest too question and C & J won the bottle of wine.  Tonight female vocalist Louise Stevens will provide the entertainment starting at 9pm.

 

Pop In

The next meeting of the Pop in club that is held at the Methodist church Hall will be on Thursday 4 February from 9.15am till 11am. Everyone is invited to pop in for tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat. Proceeds will be towards Church funds
