Spiritualist Church

There will be healing in the sanctuary on Friday from 6 till 6.45pm followed at 7pm till 8 with an Open Circle. There will be a clairvoyance service on Sunday evening from 6 till 7 that will be taken by Helen Symmons from Leeds. On Wednesday 12 September there will be an Evening of Clairvoyance with Peter Parker an International medium. Tickets are priced at £3.50 and are available from the church. All proceeds towards Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

                       

Methodist Church

Mr F Bolton will lead the Sunday morning service at 10.15am while in the evening at 6 there will be Songs of Praise. The welcoming stewards will be Joan in the morning and Richard in the evening. Hilda will provide this weeks flowers.

 

St Paul’s

There will be a mass tomorrow (Friday) at 3pm and on Sunday a mass with hymns at 9.30am. There will also be a mass on Monday at 10am. The Parish office for Baptism & Weddings are on Friday Evening at St Luke's Vicarage, Grimethorpe between 6.30pm and 7.15pm. Contact Father Peter Needham on 01226 717561.

Friends of St Paul’s

There will be a meeting of the Friend’s of St Paul’s committee on Wednesday at 7pm.

 

Three Horse Shoes
There is a quiz night at the Three Horse Shoes on a Thursday at 9.30pm and on Sunday at 8pm there is a music, conundrum and general knowledge quiz. On Thursday Terry Winter won the quiz while Jim Dunn won a bottle of wine. The Flower Dusters guessed the nearest too question.
 
Line Dancing

Line dancing will take place every Monday and Friday in the Methodist Church Hall at 7pm. Entry is £2.50.

 

Grange House

At the Grange house social evening on Thursday, Iris Edgley won the raffle while Jean Crowshaw won on Friday. Rita Ford won on Monday.

 
Summer Activities

A number of activities will take place in the village during the school holidays. Tuesday 1pm – 2pm Street sports in Brierley Park for 11-16 yrs. Wednesday 2pm – 4pm Drama workshop at St Paul’s church for 10 - 14yrs. For further details ring Caroline on 01226 773013.
